Manon and Quentin qualify France for the Tokyo Olympics!
by Karen Peruchon | May 27 2020
On December 8 2019, Manon Audinet and Quentin Delapierre achieved the feat of qualifying France for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the Nacra 17 category at the World Championships in Auckland.
Our two promising young skippers arrived in 10th place in the World Championships aboard their catamaran flying the colours of BioImpulse. They met the minimum requirements and finished ahead of the four-time world champions Marie Riou and Billy Besson, who came 15th.
Although they have qualified, Manon and Quentin have no guarantee that they will participate in the 2020 Olympics, as the honour of representing France is decided by the selection committee.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that our favourite crew is chosen! Their impressive racing performance and their World Cup win in Enoshima, the first stage of the World Cup last August, shows their great potential.
We are following them closely, and will keep you posted!
